I love Christmas and everything about the holiday season. Most of all I love the traditions, spirit and magic that Christmas brings. My kiddos are on the verge of discovering the truth about Santa but will probably “play along” a while longer because they love the traditions and fun as much as I do. The Elf tradition is one of my children’s favorites and provides the opportunity for creativity and fun for parents. However, when I was brainstorming ideas for Elf this year I discovered I really wanted input, thoughts and ideas from my children as well because the whole idea is so much fun for them. As I reflected that evening, I came up with the Elf Adventures Journal idea as away to get the kiddos more involved. Of course, with a background in school counseling and a passion for enriching the education of my own children, I incorporated educational aspects into the journal to make it even more beneficial.
